It is important for me to search and have a look on some mature works of music videos, this task will help to understand further and deeper about music video's production, and will help me to gathering some brilliant ideas from various resources as well, I will be analysing music videos from different musicians and bands/groups in order to find out how to incorporate their ideas together and emerged them on screen.
Tribes-Dancehall
Tribes is a four piece indie-rock band that founded in Camden Town, London at 2010, this track "Dancehall" is from their second album <Wish to Scream> which released at 20 May, 2013. Though the genre of their music is not exactly fits the genre that I have chosen, and I'm not exactly their fan, but I found the music video of this track "Dancehall" is incredibly attractive and beautiful(from an aesthetics point of view) that I can't help to watch it over and over agin. This music video is quite unconventional and conceptual (refers to Sven Carlsson's theory), it's almost an art clip, the whole sequence is very experimental that contains no lip-syncing part and basically has nothing relevant to the original lyrics, and unlike common Rock/Indie rock music video, this music video didn't contain any instrumental playing scene which is quite challenging the conventions, also the fragmented blend and antique style shots effect which makes the whole sequence looks like shoot by a lomo camera is very fascinating.
The cinematography of this music video is very creative and thoughtful, first of all, it has used a lot of special effects to give the whole sequence an antique style, makes it feel like shot by a lomo film camera, the blurry feel of the scene makes it stylish and attractive, and the lomo effect makes the colouring of the scene very beautiful. In this music video, the producer has used quite a lot of close-up shots to present the young girl's body form, which makes the whole scene specifically attracts male audience (referring to the "male gaze" theory), also the lighting within the scene provides the audience are warm and cheerful atmosphere.
The mise-en-scene is extremely good in this music video as well, those costumes that been wearing by girls were pretty creative, and the crown which appeared several times in the music video is quite creative and funny, also refers to the lyric "Gypsy Queen". In addition, those props within the music video is very unique and interesting, the director of this music video is quite open-minded, he has used owl, pigeon these animals as props in the video, also the blue lollipop and those mirrors, masks and several paintings that appeared in the video all improve the meaningful feeling of the video, and brings connotations in the video. I found these ideas of props using and special effects and quite interesting and usable for my own music video production, and perhaps make a good effort out of it.

Carla Bruni-Quelqu'un m'a dit
Another music video that I found inspirational and creative is the music video of french female folk singer Carla Bruni's Quelqu'un m'a dit, Carla Bruni's songs has always maintained one of my favourites, I'm amazed how diversity she is, she's not only famous model and former first lady of france, but also an excellent musician, actress and artist.
This song is a typical french folk track, the music video of this is be presented pretty well, it's performance based music video and also disjointed with the lyrics which means it contained a very few narrative element in it, which is a common stereotype for folk music video that only shows the singer and the instrumental playing, although it is quite simple but still I found this music video is very inspirational for my own project, first of all the cinematography within the music video is quite good, lots of zoom-in and zoom-out shots would made the audience focus on the main element which is the singer and instrumental playing, and this element is fairly important for every folk music video (Except those experimental videos), also the guy who holds a candle and wandering around in the background has suggested a little bit of narrative within it, also the costume was great, simply but remains the beautiful of simplicity and elegant, the lighting of this video has created a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere for the audience which fits the "Star Image" of the Carla Bruni and the characteristics of genre music, also this is an romantic themed song and the slow-paced music video quite fits the theme. I would probably use the idea of zoom-in and zoom-out to prominent the singer of my music video, and also use the idea of warm lighting.
Overall I love this music video because this video has perfectly showcased the emotions and feeling that contained within the song, also because Carla Bruni is such a beautiful creature ("Male Gaze"). There is also video of one of her new songs from her new album <Little French Songs> which named "Little French Song".

Carla Bruni-Little French Song
This is another music I found very inspirational about Carla Bruni, the music video her new single "Little French Song", technically this music video is more like a live show while she's recording in the studio, but the cinematography in this music video is brilliant.I essentially admire the way how this video presented the instrumental playing parts those close-up shots of instrumental playing in this video shows the basic element of folk music video, also the angles of these shots are quite thoughtful and unique, also the editing is brilliant as those transactions between shallow focus and deep focus is brilliant, simply synchronised with the track, for instance focusing on the singer when the vocal arrives and focusing on the specific instrument when the specific instrumental playing parts arrived, and that is something I would like to try to contribute in my own project.
In addition, the mise-en-scene in the music video is quite comfortable as well, the warm colouring and setting has presented a warm atmosphere which fits the track, and the costume was simple but elegant, also the instruments the filling in this music video has given the audience a very professional and original, this is something I would probably contribute in my own project as well.

Norah Jones-Don't Know Why
This is the music video of Jazz singer Norah Jones's song named "Don't Know Why" of her debut album, I really found this video inspirational and creative is because the simplicity and the elegance behind it, the entire music video was made pretty simple and therefore there aren't much narrative elements within it, but those very few narratives within it has perfectly amplified the lyrics. At the beginning of video, main character walks approaching to the camera, and beyond her is the beach and the ocean, from the lighting we assume it's sunrise period which amplifies the lyric "I waited till I saw the sun", and basically at the most of video, the singer Norah Jones was wandering over the seasides and beaches which has highly synchronised the original lyrics "I'll cross the endless sea".

The cinematography within this music video is brilliant, lots of medium close-up shots and long shot be used and the transactions between them makes a distant and lonely feeling for the audience which quite fits the theme of the song, the long shot which shows Norah walks towards on beach is absolutely stunning, it has created such a mood that audience could sensed, also the bird-eye view shot which showcased Norah was sitting on the pier and singing has created a brilliantly lonely atmosphere which fits the theme of song and Jazz genre characteristics, and these are something that I would like to contribute in my own project in order to create the similar atmosphere. Also the blurry feeling of these beach scenes explained that those scenes are whether took by a lomo film camera or has attached special effects on it, it makes the whole scene looks very breathtaking and surreal, also makes it a bit nostalgic and emotional which fits the genre characteristics of Jazz music.
Also the scene which Norah was playing the piano with those images of flowers in the background that I found very interesting and inspirational. It just create a very classy and nostalgic feeling over the tune, also Norah's costume in it was brilliant, slippers with jeans which very simple and casual, all of those elements are very fits her music genre characteristics and "Star Image" which is quite nostalgic and simple with not much sexual appearance.
Those four music videos is what I found creative and inspirational for my own music video project, and I will try to contribute those contents that I found interesting in my own video, as my idea evolving and project progressing, I will add some newly discovered videos and references for my project.
